The Preview button will only function if at least one document has been added to LouisAI’s Knowledge Hub.

💡 How LouisAI Sources Answers
LouisAI retrieves answers from the items stored in its Knowledge Hub. These sources can be: Webpages, PDF documents, Plain text or CSV files

Each item in the Knowledge Hub is assigned a chunk score (also known as a similarity score), which reflects LouisAI’s confidence in that item’s ability to accurately answer a user’s query.

🔗 Displayed Sources in the Chat Window

When Louis AI replies, it can surface up to two clickable source links to help users dive deeper.

What’s Shown to the End-User

  • Max 2 sources
Louis AI selects the top-scoring linkable items (highest similarity scores) and displays up to two.

  • Linkable only
Only URL-based documents (webpages) become clickable “Sources.” PDFs, CSVs or plain text files still inform the answer but won’t appear as links.

  • “View More” encouragement
By surfacing just two links, users are prompted to explore your Knowledge Hub for additional context.

💡 Tips for Richer Source Links

  • Publish web versions of critical FAQs or guides (so they become linkable).
  • Optimize headings in your HTML pages—Louis AI will snippet and link directly to the relevant section.
  • Use descriptive page titles (“How to Change Netflix Language”) so users know exactly what they’ll see when they click.
