Knowledge Hub

The Knowledge Hub is where you manage and review the documents that power LouisAI’s responses. Each document, or "item" serves as a source of information that LouisAI uses to generate answers.

Item List


Each row in the Knowledge Hub represents a document with the following details:

  • Title – The document’s name or label.
  • Type – The file format (e.g., URL, TEXT, CSV, PDF).
  • Source – The Knowledge Base where the document is stored.
  • Language – The primary language of the document content.
  • Last synchronization – The most recent date and time the document was updated or synchronized.

Searching and Filtering

  • Search – Use the search bar to find documents by title.
  • Filter – Click the filter icons to narrow results by Knowledge Base, file type, or language.

Viewing and Editing Documents


Click on a document to view its contents and modify its settings. You can:

  • Synchronize (for URL-based documents only) to fetch the latest content.
  • Change the language if needed.
  • Delete the document if it is no longer needed.

You cannot modify a document’s content directly. To update it, delete the existing document and upload a new version.

Synchronizing URL-Based Documents

For documents added via URLs, clicking Synchronize retrieves the latest content to keep LouisAI’s knowledge base up to date.

  • Deleting Documents: Click Delete to permanently remove a document from the Knowledge Hub.

Best Practices for Managing the Knowledge Hub

  • Regular Updates – Schedule periodic synchronization for URL-based documents or set a Refresh Rate in the Advanced settings to keep content current.
  • Descriptive Titles – Use meaningful names to easily differentiate documents.
  • Language Consistency – Ensure each document’s language is correctly set, especially for multilingual content.
