Public API to connect human agents with omnichannel chatbot users

This document describes Laiye Chatbot Handover API which enables agents on a partner platform to answer chat requests that need a human in the loop.

  • First, an end-user chats with Laiye Chatbot through one of the supported messaging channels.

  • Then, the end-user reaches a flow that needs a human in the loop. Laiye Chatbot routes user messages to the human agent platform. The human agent platform sends replies to Laiye Chatbot backend, which sends them back to the end-user.

  • Finally, when the flow is completed, the human agent closes the handover, and the end-user is back with the chatbot.
